The universal contractual terms that govern access to the Accadema platform. Read this once; reach for the master agreement for the commercial detail.
These terms govern access to the Accadema platform — what an institution can do, what we commit to, and what we both agree on if something goes wrong. The full commercial terms live in the institution's signed master agreement; this page covers the universal terms that apply to every customer.
If your institution has signed a master agreement, that agreement governs in case of conflict with this page. For free-trial or evaluation use, these terms apply in full.
The platform is licensed for institutional research and library operations. No reverse engineering of the platform code, no resale of the service to third parties, no scraping aimed at extracting another institution's data.
The institution owns its content. Accadema processes content as a processor under the data processing agreement and does not claim ownership of bibliographic records, research outputs, datasets or anything else the institution ingests.
Target availability is 99.9% measured per service per calendar month. The current trailing-period state and the incident history are published at the platform status page. Service credits are defined in the master agreement.
Every release ships with a tested rollback; every database migration ships with a down-step. On contract termination the institution receives an export of its data in standard interchange formats within thirty days.
Material changes to these terms are announced thirty days in advance through the platform changelog and through the local Accadema partner. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
Either party can terminate for material breach with thirty days to cure; either party can terminate for convenience at the end of a contract period. Data export and account closure follow termination.
A short list of activities that are out of scope and will cause the platform to suspend the offending account or, in serious cases, the institution.
If your institution has signed an Accadema master agreement, the master agreement governs in case of conflict with this page. The master agreement contains the commercial terms, service level details, indemnities, jurisdiction and notice provisions.
