The Accadema design overlay on the underlying open-source library system. The ILS underneath, the platform experience on top.
Thelios is the Accadema Implementation package for the underlying open-source library system: a branding overlay (CSS and templates), the harvester pipeline that keeps records flowing in, the servers it runs on, the day-to-day service, the upgrade work and the dependencies, all delivered as a finished product. The data model, the cataloging, the circulation engine — all of that remains the library system, with the upstream community behind it.
Delivering an Implementation package on top of the OSS, rather than forking it, is a deliberate choice. The institution gets the visual coherence and operational backing of the Accadema platform — without the integration tax of two different ILS philosophies, and without losing the long-term maintenance behind the OSS community.
Patron-facing search, item detail, account and reservations — rebranded in the Accadema design system with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility.
Cataloging, circulation, reports and acquisitions in the staff intranet — the librarian's daily workspace, repainted.
Per-institution colour, logo and footer attribution — the institution's brand applied through the library system's standard customisation hooks.
Thelios is the Implementation package we deliver on every Accadema-hosted library system deployment and many client-hosted ones — branding, harvester, servers, service and dependencies as one finished product.
